Redmonkey Photography Christmas Shoots

Always a lot of requests for Christmas shoots this time of year! With this in mind I thought i'd take Harley  - my whippet - into the studio to test the lighting.

She really is becoming a great poser!

Our City

I'm not going to start this Blog off with my usual "It's been a while" thats obvious - the last 2 months have been hectic. Maily functions in very low light venues and coloured lights to deal with. It's forced me to get a bit more creative and innovative to get the required shots. Those jobs will be published in time, but while i'm on a job I always take one or two photos for myself!

Here are a few city scapes from a venue in Jo'burg!

Food!

These shots were taken last night for a presentation this am. Not only did I have to take the photos - I also had to cook, style and....wash up afterwards!

Jake's Birthday Party

Jason & Justine's son Jake had his birthday party on Sunday. What a fantastic day! Nice and warm only challenge being the harsh sun. Ask any photographer and they will tell you that capturing great photos at midday is very challenging - harsh shadows, blown out skies and drab colours.

I love a challenge and fired off a few portrait shots of the kids! - Here are the results.

Linda & Dan with little Jordan

Loving the family shoots! I think having just had my own little girl has really made me enjoy meeting new families and capturing special milestones!

Leigh & Darryll's little one Jordan

The best part of Maternity photography is the follow up once the little one arrives! Thanks the Leigh and Darryll for allowing me to capture their new family!
